I currently manage the Transportation Division for Sunrise Engineering. Our division is one of 21 within Sunrise and our focus is to provide Transportation Solutions for State DOT's and local municipalities, in addition to supporting the other 20 divisions with their clients needs. I oversee approximately 25 employees and our division produces several Million dollars in revenue annually.I manage overall project budgets for the Division and ensuring each project scope and budget are being managed properly to reduce overages and loss in revenue. I prepare monthly forecasting reports and ensure our staffing levels are adequate for the upcoming workloads. We regularly manage about 35-40 projects annually. I ensure the contracting is complete and compliant, including our sub-consultants on each project.I provide coaching, mentorship and employee development opportunities to help staff set and achieve their professional goals, while also assisting them through management and leadership issues with their teams.I am expert in land development and transportation related areas such as surveying, engineering, right of way design, planning, construction management and water rights. I have been in the Civil engineering and construction industry since 1998 and am proficient in creating and reading construction documents for both architectural and engineering disciplines. I am a licensed Land Surveyor in the state of Utah and have managed engineering projects since 1999. I am proficient in CAD programs such as AutoCAD and Microstation. I am also a lifetime user of Microsoft office products and can produce documents from every program in the office suite. I am proficient with PDF documents as well.I have learned the importance of clear communication, accurate information and supporting the project team. I have focused on building strong relationships with clients, local, State and Federal municipal agencies.

I manage the Right of Way specific to Region 2. The duties include managing consultants through active projects to ensure quality control during their Right of Way development. I work to protect the public interest in the assets acquired for transportation purposes.

I oversaw the process of managing and disposing of the excess real estate owned by the DOT outside of our Right of Way. This process included handling approvals from Senior UDOT leadership. I also managed and maintained water rights.
