Day to day operations in inspection management of Civil Engineering Projects: Road construction and maintenance, Bridge and Culvert construction, Hot Mix, Seal Coat, Maintenance contracts (Mowing,Litter & debris collection, Pavement markings, Crack Seal, Sign Contracts, Traffic Control, Material sampling and testing, etc...

Supervise operations in the installation, maintenance and programing in commercial security systems and data, Fiber Optic and Multi pair cabling.

Supervise and manage activities and duties in the Abilene office, write specifications, estimates and bid preparations, evaluations, conduct routine audits and investigations on facilities ,contract jobs, and contractors to determine administrative and technical compliance with established federal, state and company policies and law. Resolve contract disputes between clients and contactors.

Supervise, and over see contracts¸ contractors and state personnel in the forecasting, construction,maintenance, inspection and testing of materials, roadways and bridges. Use computer applications to enter, revise and maintain Plans, Specifications and Estimates, supporting documents and files. Process Plans Specifications and Estimates for letting, including reproduction and distribution. Review and make corrections, revisions and addendums to plans and related documents as needed. Prepare and submit preliminary and final Plans, Specification, Estimates, special specifications and previsions to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines. Perform advance drafting and engineering, forecasting, process selection, inventory management, scheduling, aggregate planning, and materials management. Review plans, Photogrammetry, Arial photos, GPS data, contracts, letters and other work done by others. Prepare, review, plot and distribute general notes, estimates, quantity sheets, specifications list and proposals to area offices and others. Plan, attend, participate and assist in review conferences, public meetings and hearings. Provide the public utility companies and interoffice personnel with right of way construction and project proposal information. Coordinate Plans, Specifications and Estimates review with division. Prepare escrow, overrun and other technical correspondence to ensure timely project lettings, Answer inquires on final Plans, Specifications and Estimates policies and procedures. Set up PC and mainframe computer files for backlog project storage. Act as liaison between districts, divisions, consultants and private firms to resolve design problems and accuracy of contracts, Plans, Specifications, Estimates and standards. Conduct inspections of roadway, bridge, maintenance, enhancement and landscape projects.
