I am an advocate for youth, equity and justice that believes that every child deserves the right to a quality education and should be given the resources needed to reach their full potential. My expertise includes art and culture, global marketing and communications, DEI and cultural competency training, intersectional business strategy, educational entrepreneurship, and youth program design. I am a creative thinker and community builder with a skillful ability to inspire meaningful collaboration and execute projects around the globe. I gained my academic foundation in Los Angeles Unified Public Schools as a Gifted and Talented Magnet student and hold a B.A. in World Arts & Cultures from UCLA, a Master's in Communication Management from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at USC, as well as a Master’s degree in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. My career began in the globalization services industry, serving as a trusted advisor and service partner for multinational corporations in the tech start-up, gaming and mobile industries. I have also held executive management roles in the small business and non-profit space, leading my teams to successfully serve thousands of youth via early education and youth development programs. In addition to consulting for various clients, I have made education entrepreneurship my focus, choosing to work on the periphery of the traditional education system in order to develop innovative products and services that meet the needs of my community. In addition to consulting, I am presently working to launch an initiative in my home country of Costa Rica that seeks to upend education inequity and provide every child with the tools and resources needed to reach their full potential. I continue in the legacy of my parents and great grandparents who were also educators and dedicated their lives to ensuring that young people had access to an excellent education.
