As the first and founding member of database team, I was given a critical responsibility of establishing a strong data platform that would become the foundation of the PSW ecosystem. To achieve this, I worked on multiple fronts including Database Design and Modelling, Database Administration, and BI and Reporting. A quick summary of my achievements at PSW is as follows:a) Designed logical and physical Data Models for PSW enterprise application with a key focus on streamlining data management and delivering required system performance. I have consistently been able to translate requirements into practical and scalable data models that meet the needs of diverse stakeholders.b) Set up a reliable Database Infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance to support critical business functions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.c) Implemented robust Database Monitoring, Backup and Recovery processes to ensure reliability and durability of the data.d) Designed Database Disaster Recovery Solution to ensure that critical databases are protected in the event of a disaster or outage. This involves designing and implementing replication strategies, failover procedures, and data synchronization.e) Hired and developed a dedicated team of Database Administrators to monitor and proactively manage the organization's databases.f) Established a Reporting and Analysis team to provide timely and accurate insights to the business. Worked with business users to identify their reporting needs and delivered solutions in SSIS and SSRS.g) Currently, I am working on Designing a Data warehouse Solution for PSW. This involves studying existing data sources and determining the most efficient way to consolidate and store data for reporting and analysis purposes. This data warehouse will act as a central repository for all of the organization's data, enabling business to make more informed decisions and gain valuable insights.

• Provide thought leadership for developing BI & Analytics requirements for the Project.• Studied the Best Practices of the electric utility industry and develop a conceptual model, specification & KPIs for Loss Analytics, Fault Analytics, Outage Analytics, Distribution Management Analytics and Metering and Communication Analytics.• Leading BI development team for designing & developing ETL processes and BI artifacts in OBIEE.

Development of Consumer Billing System for KESC is one of my best achievement and contribution to the organization. I was an Integral part of the team who developed the system by actually converting old legacy COBOL based system to Oracle 9i RDBMS based system and implemented that system in the organization. I performed different functions for the project at its different stages including as a Software Engineer, DBA, IT Operations officer and as a trainer. Other than that I remained involved in different other projects in various capacities ranging from leading role to the role of team member.
