As a document specialist, I am part of a team responsible for applying company formatting standards to all consultants' documents before they are sent to our clients, to present a consistent professional look. I work with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Sharepoint. This position calls for extreme attention to detail and extensive MS Office skills, not to mention the ability to learn and remember formatting standards for multiple types of documents (i.e., reports, presentations, proposals). In addition to creating professional-looking documents, often on a tight deadline, I also work in quality control, checking other people's work for accuracy and current standards. Often I work as the coordinator, taking in new work and setting due times and expectations, communicating with consultants, and determining the amount and type of work needed to complete a job. I also train new employees during my shift as they learn our processes and guidelines. As a senior document specialist, I write educational articles for our monthly newsletter, seek out learning and development opportunities for my team, and both maintain and create department documentation. I'm the administrator for our department's online Wiki, using Tettra software. This job is 100% remote, working from home.

-Responsible for coordinating data imports with clients from start to finish-Format client data to comply with company import template for automated import-Use SQL to create temporary databases with multiple client files and gather necessary information for import by linking files together using joins

-Singly responsible for daily execution of custom data transformation and import programs accounting for greater than 50% of total company order volume.-Document and automate multi-step processes into single batch runs by writing, debugging and maintaining shell scripts to improve timeliness and reduce risk by creating a repeatable process.-Perform in a highly visible role as the technical liaison with internal account management, project management, customer service, and external customer IT and operations staff to answer questions, resolve data exchange issues and troubleshoot problems.-Standardized the file structure on production Linux servers and secure FTP systems and created specialized search scripts to reduce costs of maintenance and expedite response time for customer inquiries, both external and internal.-Design, test, and implement new data import configurations and rules using XML and a virtual machine. -Create and audit monthly order status reports for the Department of Justice using SQL and customized MS Excel workbooks to comply with government contracts.
