My current work focuses mainly on backend scaling and improvements to the core Pagerduty product. This includes database optimization, developing and deploying microservices, and cross-team architectural initiatives. I'm a member of my team's on-call rotation and responsible for operational work, as well as part of a group of Incident Commanders that coordinates engineers responding to outages and other service degradations.In addition to engineering work, I'm also a coach for interns and engineers that join our team. Not only does this include providing technical guidance on day to day engineering tasks, I also help them develop and achieve goals that aid in their growth, professionally and personally, while working at PagerDuty.

As communications officer, I was responsible for the development of a marketing strategy for the AMS, its various sub-organizations, and student government initiatives. In addition to designing and executing an extensive recruitment campaign, I was also responsible for the design and distribution of both the Annual Report and the AMS Guide to Queen's, an annual publication distributed to every undergrad student at Queen's University.

As part of the management team for 2004-2005, I was responsible for overseeing the profitable operations of one of the most successful student-run businesses at Queen's University, supervising a staff of 40, and managing a team of 6 graphic designers. Furthermore, I also developed a year-long marketing plan, marketing initiatives for seasonal promotions and events, and worked with the Communications Office to plan and design that year's Annual Report.
