Having reached the age of 65 in February 2013, I have now retired from paid employment. I have retained my LinkedIn account however as it is good to keep in touch and to know how old friends and colleagues are progressing with their careers. I am also keeping in touch with the polymer industry via my membership of the Worshipful Company of Horners. I do get involved with a range of voluntary activities including the local Mencap club and also Supported Community Business (SCB) which runs a therapeutic workshop for adults with learning disabilities.

RAPRA Limited is the Membership organisation formed from the former Rapra Technology Limited. I worked for these organisations between 1986 and my retirement in 2013. RAPRA Limited is now located in Telford, Shropshire and offers a range of technical and business related services to its Members. These services are provided by carefully selected "Preferred Service Provider" organisations, ensuring that RAPRA's Members can be sure of accessing, on an independent, impartial and preferential, basis the services they need quickly and efficiently. Flexibox was a manufacturer of mechanical shaft seals and flexible power transmission couplings, based in Manchester and with a global network of sister companies. The company was taken over by the John Crane group in the 1990s. My role was as Marketing co-ordinator, working with the marketing managers in each of the operating companies to support them in their roles and to co-ordinate new product launches across the Group
