I was hired to build the VRTX hardware and software voice recording product line. Supervised the PCB and hardware development, including FCC and CE testing. Built the low level interface between the new hardware and the Recording Library software, including parsing Q.921 and Q.931 bit level packets from the raw data streams. Developed the Shoretel PBX integration monitor for Xima Chronicall.

Developed network and hardware interfaces for real time engine room simulator. Technical lead when expanding the team from 3 to 12 developers. Built new tools to configure simulator model 2x faster than manual methods. Developed and extended dynamic physics models. Extended record and replay functionality for multiple audio/video sources.

Developed obstacle detection and avoidance system for DARPA Urban Challenge vehicle. I was one of 2 software engineers working on the project, and was in charge of integrating sensors and data that flowed into the pathing algorithms. Our team progressed further than that University of Utah and Princeton, even with our low resources. Developed a 3D visualization tool for unmanned ground vehicles.

Programmed and implemented smart sensor network protocols on TelosB motes. Co-author for conference paper published in IEEE IROS 2003. There was a 2 year break from June 2003 - July 2005.
