I am an archivist at the Purdue University Archives and Special Collections, a division of the Purdue Libraries and School of Information Studies. Our mission is to support the discovery, learning, and engagement goals of Purdue University by identifying, collecting, preserving, and making available for research records and papers of enduring value created.

• I was an STN librarian for 14 years at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, one of the top-ranked undergraduate engineering college in the U.S. My time spent there gave me professional and career development.
• Starting at a time when the Internet was still in its infancy, I served as an early chief architect of Logan Library’s transformation to a mostly digital library.
• I established numerous important initiatives including the digital archives of historical resources, Rose-Hulman Scholar – the institute’s scholarly institutional repository, and I established the institute’s first.
• I supported the teaching mission by providing information literacy instruction to classes and personalized reference service.
• I served as the interim-library director for nine months.
• I had the honor of being the first staff member in the institute’s history to have formal training in archival science.

Serving as interim library director for nine months was a challenging but very exciting and insightful period of time for me at Rose-Hulman. I oversaw the daily operations and ongoing projects of the Library, Instructional Technology Office, and Digital Resource Center. I Managed library budget for fiscal year 2012 and created budget for fiscal year 2013.

At my first full-time library position that I started right after deciding to go into library science, I was the evening supervisor of the circulation department. I supervided student workers, managed periodial check-ins and maintained gerneral optations of circulation in the evening.

I was part of a dynamic team of editors, community scholars, and other history graduate students in a multi-year project to create a comprehensive encyclopedia on the city of Louisville and surrounding metropolitan area.
