Vice President Agile Software Development
CurrentI lead a ~60-person software, systems, and platform Agile Release Train responsible for ETL processing of content that results in significant sales. I personally manage the activities of directors, managers, and architects to strategically drive technology modernization by building new, AWS-based solutions. I address and reduce accumulated technical debt while migrating and supporting necessary legacy production systems, and I oversee a 7-figure budget.Tech stack: AWS (StreamSets, Kafka, MongoDB, DocumentDB, Flink, Glue, Athena), Java, C#, Oracle, FoxPro, C++, Automic ONE, AppWorx, AutoSys Automation, Windows OS, Linux, Prometheus.I collaborated with the system architect team to build a bottom-up AWS content pipeline design that is highly cost efficient, scalable up or down, and runs faster than the previous version. I convinced upper management and business/product-management organizations of the necessity for a new concept, and upskilled/right-skilled teams to facilitate its implementation.* Acted as key contributor to the technical and budget roadmaps for the content-pipeline migration from legacy systems to AWS.* Improved engineering performance and decreased cross-team dependencies by realigning engineering teams.* Reduced our monthly AWS pipeline cost 40% and pipeline runtimes 80% by driving new methods/designs for processing data.* Cut the number of open customer defects 75% in 2 years by implementing a new process for triaging, prioritizing, and fixing.
