As the Plant Reliability Engineer, I am responsible for collecting and analyzing data for our mechanical engineering team to utilize when in the design phase of new equipment. I also handle process refinement, Root Cause Failure Analysis, overhead crane inspections and repairs performed via third party, monthly maintenance cost per ton, outage planning and scheduling, technical support to assist millwrights, and facility walk through inspections. An additional responsibility is to partner with the Engineering Manager to evaluate and change mechanical drawings during the design phase. I also perform Asset Lifecycle Tracking, and spare parts organization and storage. Another role I currently fill is CMMS lead. I have completely reorganized and manipulated our equipment map that has not been updated in 8 years, to reflect our current equipment, equipment trains, and parts assignments. I also fill a supervisory role over our current maintenance planner and assist in day-to-day maintenance planning. During maintenance outages, I also fill a role as a project manager.
