Hi! I am a premedical student studying neuroscience with minors in sociology of medicine and creative writing. I am passionate about pursuing a career in advocacy, which I believe is synonymous with healthcare. Caring for patients at their most vulnerable moments is exactly when advocacy is most needed. Medicine appeals to me because it aligns perfectly with my goal of using my education to make a difference, especially in medically underserved patient populations.I want to intertwine my knowledge from the humanities and sciences to embark on a journey to understand the complex yet beautiful inner workings of our bodies. I aim to confront disease and illness with new research, biotechnology, and empathy. I aspire to be a physician because it would allow me to oversee and collaborate with a healthcare team to provide comprehensive clinical and emotional support for patients, fulfilling the profound responsibility of evaluating how a condition impacts every aspect of a patient's life. Achieving a high level of clinical expertise is a privilege and something I aim to always be working towards.
