ACES works with an interdisciplinary environmental compliance team supporting the US Army Reserve 63d Readiness Division (RD). The primary responsibilities of the position are to ensure that the 63d RD’s facilities are operated and maintained in accordance with all applicable environmental regulations. Program areas include but are not limited to Hazardous Waste/Materials Management and Disposal, Air Quality, Stormwater, Natural Resources, Environmental Sampling and Analysis, Environmental Compliance Permits, Environmental Compliance Inspections, and Environmental Compliance Training.

The environmental program manager monitors the procedures facilities and organizations perform and advises them on how to minimize their impact on the environment. They are responsible for implementing environmental strategies to decrease damage to the environment. They also check on reports and evaluate them for issues and concerns that might need immediate attention. They monitor the facility's compliance and supervise revocation of permits of facilities that cannot follow environmental safety standards.

Engineer Operations Supervisor coordinate and manage the employment of engineer equipment in both horizontal construction and material handling operations by performing soil analysis, expedient drainage, calculation of production estimations and determining the logistical requirements to support their project sites. They have the ability to manage equipment licensing, equipment repairs, and related metal working for the support of mobility, counter-mobility, general engineering and logistics operations in any environment. They manage and develop the Marines in the eight functional areas of maintenance and 48 sub-functional areas. Assist in the planning of establishing field maintenance and equipment staging sites, and the protocol for its defenses. Engineer Equipment Chiefs may also perform duties of battalion staff and general staff level, playing a key role in the four principal elements of maintenance management; providing advice in equipment employment and staging, material readiness, and qualification/ training. This MOS will be assigned only by the authority of the CMC (MM).

Marine Security Guards are primarily responsible for protecting mission personnel and preventing the compromise of national security information and equipment at designated diplomatic and consular facilities. Staff Noncommissioned Officers (E6 and above) serve as Detachment Commanders at two Detachments for 18 months each. Sergeants (E-5 and below) serve at three Detachments for 12 months each. They are deployed for 3 years and have the opportunity to serve at 3 of 181 locations in over 150 countries around the world. Over 50 of those locations are eligible for Hazardous Duty/Imminent Danger/Combat Tax Exclusion pay. Security Guards protect mission personnel and classified information through security inspections and access control while using advanced security equipment. But most importantly, they are trained to respond to situations like intrusions, bomb threats, demonstrations/riots, fires, or natural disasters at Embassies or consulates.
