I believe in the power of collaboration and creativity to solve the most pressing health challenges and to make a real difference in people's lives.🚀 Commercialization Champion: After years commercializing cutting-edge life science technology for institutions like The Scripps Research Institute and City of Hope (generating a deal sheet worth over $20M), I joined Cleveland Clinic in 2014 to lead the expansion of its Global Healthcare Innovation Alliance and establish a technology commercialization program for The Innovation Institute, a national consortium of non-profit health systems. Recognized as an emerging leader, I was brought in-house by The Institute in 2015 to lead the program and build a world-class team.💡 Innovation Architect: At The Innovation Institute, I set the vision, lead strategy, and manage operations with full P&L accountability across all company functions from concept to commercialization. Under my tenure, I have built and led high-performing teams and driven operational efficiency, achieving impressive results, including:- A nationwide innovation and commercialization platform serving over 1,000 healthcare facilities across 16 states and 137,000 healthcare professionals.- Evaluating over 5,000 new product opportunities and commercializing 22 medical products, creating a robust patent portfolio valued at over $27M.- Helping to secure $60M in investment from five health system investors.- Driving operational efficiency, reducing SG&A by an average of 5.4% annually since 2018.- Leading a team in April 2020 to develop, test, and distribute 5,000 units of a novel ventilator connector to prevent nosocomial infection in less than 12 weeks.🔬 Scientist at Heart: My journey began with a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Minnesota and a BS in Biochemistry from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, culminating in an MBA from USC.
