About Rob Ortiz
Rob Ortiz began his career in Product Management while still in college, where he opened an online retailer of sports equipment (O2 Sports) and grew it from the ground up to yearly sales of $120,000 in just 3 years. In 2006 he joined Keyence Corp. of America's sales team in their Total Sensing Solutions group. He received his first Direct Contributon award (Keyence's Highest honor) in 2008 and was moved to the Measurement Specialist group and tasked with developing and opening a new office in Rochester, NY. In 2010 he moved to the Instant Measurement division, helping to spearhead the launch of an exciting new product to the market. He received his second Direct Contribution award in 2011 and his third in 2013 when he was moved to Senior Product Specialist for the United States. In 2014 he began working heavily with Keyence's Data driven business teams to devise new methods of collecting, evaluating, and actioning business data. Currently he operates as the Sales and Marketing Director for Keyence's Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence platforms. Working with both internal and external teams to help increase data literacy and deployment of machine learning models into the business space. In his free time Rob continues to do Product Management, working with his brother to develop tabletop games and board games. He is also a novelist working on his own novel series. Rob above all loves the challenge of taking a product from concept to creation, working along side engineers, marketing, sales, and management to keep the excitement level high.
