By playing my part to help conquer the Covid-19 Pandemic, people can now go back to living normal day to day lives. My team & I played an essential role & helped the whole of the UK during a global pandemic, never seen before in a lifetimeDuring the height of the Pandemic I was in charge & leading a team of upto 30 staff, not including the permanent nights & overtime staff. We were accessioning upwards of 15k of samples, 17k at its busiest & exceeding the company's targets of 1200 per hour on every shift. Whilst breaking Company records, I helped the nation by giving them the service & results in the prompt and timely manner they deserved. This quick response also helped in isolating the spread of Covid-19 which was commended by the Prime Minister Borris Johnson. Working 12 hour days & 12 hour nights on a 4 on 4 off rotation which included weekends, bank holiday's and even Christmas Day & New years night. All to play my part in the fight against Covid & to help the nation get back to some normality.I worked to help not just my local community but the whole of the UK when the rest of the world was in lockdown.My team & I often gave up our free time working to assist on other shifts that were short staffed due to Covid outbreaks & some travelled away from home across the country to be where the company & the nation needed them.I worked with a great mix of people from all different walks of life, each one of us with a vast range of different skill sets that made us to be a great team!We worked on something completely new and unknown. that nobody had done before and we did it brilliantly!I enjoyed working in an ever changing fast paced environment, logging data, sending positive samples back to HQ for further testing to help combat future outbreaks, possible cures, better vaccines, advise Government & so much more.My transferrable skills of Management, teamwork are highly adaptable to change, can follow processes, have great communication, dedication, flexibility, show commitment and resilience to an already existing skill set.My team and I will form part of history, have stories to tell the next generation and have made friends for life!If you receive my CV that says I worked on COVID 19 - count your lucky stars!
