EU Lead Project Manager for high level business-critical global initiative (2020 Vision). Primarily accountable for overseeing major plant improvement initiatives and activities across all IAC Group EU plants to support the business in its development objectives.

Import Tooling Operations Director for the company with responsibility for driving operational systems and processes for a rapidly growing and successful business. Oversaw and planned all aspects of the Import Tooling Division including managing team members, delivering tooling programmes to the end customer and ensuring alignment with timescales, budgets and forecasts. Acted as Project Manager to manage and coordinate scheduled works within the division and managed customer requirements in regards to delivery and quality standards. Responsible for leading and directing the Far East team in respect of tasks to facilitate high quality tooling process into the UK including overseeing tooling suppliers in the Far East to ensure quality and performance standards were met and that suppliers were financially stable. Worked in collaboration with the Finance team to facilitate payments to suppliers in a timely manner and to ensure monthly targets were achieved. Regularly monitored and improved the Far East supply base and introduced new suppliers as required. Accountable for recruiting new staff as required working in collaboration with the HR department; being responsible for managing annual performance, holiday and sickness leave, travel and expenses within the annual staffing budget. Played a pivotal role in managing the release of tooling modifications and production work orders into the UK Production team. Instrumental in improving and streamlining operational functions through continual monitoring of systematic documentation

Tooling Manager / Procurement Manager with responsibility for serving as the Lead Buyer for all European mould tooling and managing the annual spend within the different EU regions at IAC (approximately £40m per annum). Oversaw all tooling and capital expenditure purchases within the UK as well as all mould tooling across Europe. In addition, managed and coordinated UK indirect purchasing processes as the National Lead. Maintained and managed a supplier base and reviewed supplier performance across the EU and Far East ensuring alignment with business objectives. Ensured company margins were achieved on spend for all projects and successfully ran several countrywide programmes across all plants for example, waste management, maintenance consumables and staff uniforms. Appointed as the UK Lead on capital equipment purchase in support of new vehicle programmes with an annual spend of approximately £5m. Supported all UK plants and projects within the central procurement function as necessary.Additional Tooling Manager / Procurement Manager responsibilities and achievements included:• Successfully standardised procurement procedures across all European spend including tool specifications• Instrumental in negotiating large, complex packages of work ensuring alignment with business objectives whilst dealing with demanding payment terms

Initially Buyer for tooling and capital equipment, being accountable for sourcing and purchasing supplies whilst managing a £multi-million budget for tooling spend. Promoted to the position of Senior Buyer within a year of joining IAC and held responsibility for leading the UK indirect purchase strategy. Accountable for defining and driving the purchase activity for large, complex UK programmes.

Plastics & Tooling Engineer with accountability for overseeing R & D medical equipment projects including providing advice on polymer selection, component design for manufacture and preparing detailed specifications and checklists for tooling and product introduction. Oversaw and coordinated the entire project lifecycle including defining scope of project, scheduling plans, troubleshooting process problems and sourcing / introducing new suppliers. Instrumental in maximising efficiency, processes and cycle time, and successfully introduced new technology to influence moulded product design. Additional Plastics & Tooling Engineer responsibilities and achievements included:• Successfully completed Lean Six Sigma Green Belt throughout tenure• Played a pivotal role in forward planning to reduce future product costs through designing for manufacture

Tooling Manager with primary responsibility for sourcing, auditing and approving new suppliers whilst leading, coordinating and mentoring a team of 8 to 10 direct reports. Travelled throughout Europe and Asia to source suppliers and negotiate purchase and procurement of new injection mould tooling ensuring alignment with defined budgets. Oversaw and coordinated projects ensuring delivery within timescales, specifications and budgets whilst also meeting production objectives. Assisted customers with enquiries and gauged requirements to calculate costs and recommend solutions. In addition, held accountability for supporting design and production processes, recommending capital equipment and managing SMED programme.Additional Tooling Manager responsibilities and achievements included:• Instrumental in the globalisation of tool sourcing for the MAHLE Group including defining and authoring a global standard specification• Spearheaded the simultaneous successful delivery of 109 complex injection mould tools which were manufactured in 7 different countries across 9 different programmes; successfully delivering the project to demanding timescales and under challenging circumstances
