CurrentNon-Ionizing Radiation Safety Officer and Alternative Ionizing Radiation Safety Officer at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center(MSFC).Responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of the radiological, laser, radiofrequency, and UV safety programs at MSFC,through conducting studies, maintaining inventories, performing leak test, coordinating training, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (NRC, ANZI, IEEE, ACGIH), whilst working closely with other occupational health personnel to support the overall health and safety program.• Received Laser Safety Officer, Radiation Safety Officer, and RAM Shipping training from accredited academies.• Received a certificate of Appreciation from MSFC Occupational and Environmental Health Group for efforts within the first year of employment to bring the program into compliance with the established standards• Consulted with researchers on non ionizing and ionizing radiation technologies to plan, develop, and test various emerging laser/UltraViolet/Radio Frequency/Ionizing Radiation Producing Device/Radioactive Material technology systems in non normal environments• Modernized required safety training for Lasers, Radioactive material, and Ionizing Radiation Producing Deceives• Introduced awareness level safety training for RAM and Radiation Producing Devices for non rad workers in areas/building that contain RAM or RPDs• Completed the inventory of all laser systems at MSFC• Managed laser safety compliance for two emerging laser technology systems for scientific experiments on ZeroG flight campaigns
