Served as a non-profit AmeriCorps member. Main responsibilities include coordinating community planting events, volunteer recruitment, tree planting and care, environmental education and outreach. During my one year of service I personally planted over 100 trees with the help of volunteers. As a planting coordinator I directed the planting of more than 500 trees. My main areas of focus were planting trees at schools and homes in disadvantaged communities. I became proficient in grassroots outreach to target neighborhoods and schools with a severe lack of urban canopy.

Supervised a small team of six student assistants who served as first line of support for SJSU professors and students experiencing technical difficulties. Provided technical assistance for many proprietary SJSU applications and websites. Directed callers to resources available to them to solve their own problems.
