CurrentI established an independent global sourcing-to-pay organization upon the divesture from The McGraw-Hill Companies; now I currently oversee all aspects of Contract Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Category Management (including Travel, Fleet, Office Supplies, and Marketing/Professional Services) and an $80 million Contingent Workforce Program. I develop the strategy and vision for an annual spend of $600 million with 10 direct reports, 90-100 indirect reports, and a $10 million operating budget.▶ Delivered cost savings of $3.1 million in 2018; consistently found ways to generate 10-15% budget savings YoY. ▶ Outsourced and unified the annual Contract Management function while expanding scope to include >2,100 supplier contracts (>$400 million), 1,000 author/publishing contracts, 2,500 express contracts (~$17 million), 18,000 permission requests, and 1,300 copyright registrations; decreased risk and processing turnaround time.▶ Merged the P2P function with Accounts Payable, creating one helpdesk, supplier enablement process and eliminated multiple buying channels.▶ Partnered with legal department on a major initiative to create contracts-on-demand for low-risk contracts (<$10,000) which decreased staff workload by over 60%▶ Built and implemented a third party managed Contingent Workforce program that shifted compliance liability in support of labor laws. This program impacted 64 temp agencies and 1,200 independent contractors and generated $500,000 in savings through an early pay discount.▶ Renegotiated an Amex Corporate Card Program that delivered a $2 million signing bonus in addition to a $700,000 annual rebate.▶ Renegotiated travel contracts delivering $1.4 million in annual savings.▶ Converted approximately 80% of total invoice volume to electronic resulting in a reduction in 2 FTEs and triggered a 5-10% early discount payment opportunity on total spend.
