Working in the Native Title Negotiation team at DPC gave me insight into whole of government negotiations for Native Title Compensation Agreements and the coordination role that DPC plays when negotiating and implementing Native Title Compensation Agreements

Working in the Projects, Compliance and Policy team, I contributed to multiple projects and helped to develop policy to ensure the the State’s natural resources are developed and managed responsibly. Specifically, I played major role in the response to submission and release of final policy and guideline for Decommissioning of petroleum and geothermal energy property, equipment and infrastructure in Western Australian onshore areas and State coastal waters. Additionally, I helped contribute to the update to the Mining Amendment Act 2022, the development of the Mining Development Closure Proposals, Mine Clouse Plans and Eligible Mining Activities Framework.

Geological Survey and Resource Strategy Division. Working in the Land Use Planning team, ensuring access for exploration and development of the state's mineral, basic raw material, petroleum and geothermal energy resources while assisting with the delivery of state land use objectives.

Graduate in Resource Access Branch My role included, ensuring the timely and efficient grant of mining tenement, petroleum title and geothermal energy permit. While also ensuring the cultural heritage and interests of native title holders are considered during the granting of tenure.

I have recently been accepted an internship opportunity at the DPIRD, assisting in research surroundingbarriers to trade on agricultural products. This provides me with the opportunity to prove my academicskills such as research, comprehension and writing in a professional environment.
