EDAROTH Pagabo Framework Manager I am excited to be working for EDAROTH (Everyone Deserves A Roof Over Their Head) as we can help clients meet their social housing targets, rejuvenate areas of deprivation and drive forward the domestic sustainability agenda. On a personal level the most rewarding outcome is the provision of safe and warm homes to those most in need in our society. The Pagabo framework provides an inexpensive, simple and compliant procurement route allowing clients to directly appoint EDAROTH within just a few weeks. My role is to mobilise and lead the framework, setting up and overseeing the processes and procedures required to ensure our delivery to clients is seamless and supportive. West Sussex County Council (WSCC) – Framework Management (2018-20)WSCC was a Multidisciplinary Framework to delivering £800m of construction across their portfolio. My role was to; - establish relationships; - complete the mobilisation and oversee the delivery of the programme. I have completed this role on several occasions and tailor the approach to suit each client. Working collaboratively with the client, we agreed processes and procedures for framework management and project delivery and provided these in a handbook which contained simple and straightforward flow charts to guide our team. The Client has found the handbook exceptionally useful in understanding their processes. Moreover they have used these as a base for reviewing their systems to increase value for money; improve speed of delivery/ responsiveness; increase quality; and increase efficiency in the client organisation. I also have extensive experience in Key Account Management having previously completed these roles for Bracknell Forest, Thurrock and Westminster Councils and for the International Police Training Centre (Bramshill). I attained my chartership as a Building Surveyor with the RICS in 2005 and was accepted as a full member of the APM in 2012.

Polictical Campaigner

Current

I am currently involved purely in a supportive capacity pounding the streats etc. Until 2013 I was the Treasurer for the Epsom & Ewell Conservative Association. This was an unpaid position which involved working closely with our employed and voluntary teams and with our MP.In the main the role was to ensure that we remained in a position to fund our staff and our election fighting capacity. This involved careful budgeting and expenditure review in addition to ensuring sufficient sinking funds were in place to fund medium and large future expenditure. The role also constituted covering the duties of Chairman as and when required. The Chairman and I also completed all the normal employer duties such as staff appraisals etc. I first became involved to assist with the general election in Kingston and Surbition in 2001. I then became the leader of Conservative Future for the area. I also helped with campaigning in one of the Epsom bi-elections. I have since remained involved in the Epsom Association. During this period I fought in a team of 3 for our election to Epsom Council to represent the Woodcote Ward. While I did not get elected we succeeded in doubling our vote and getting one of our team onto the council. When I joined Epsom it had just been placed in special measures. Since then I have played an active role in assisting the team to turn it into an active and respected group.I have also spent a lot of time working in mutual aid. Epsom worked the Stonecote ward for Philippa Stroud. In addition I joined Reigate and Banstead Association and was elected as a councillor for them. I was selected only 5 weeks before the election but managed to canfuss 2/3rds of the wards 8,500 residents and polled over 50% of the vote. I stood down from this position during the 2009 recession to allow me spend additional time working on bids within my Atkins role.

Borough Councillor

I was elected in May 2007 to represent the ward of Earlswood & Whitebushes on the Reigate and Banstead Borough Council. This kind of role is effectively voluntary work which is completed within evenings and weekends. I enjoyed this role, getting involved in council prioritisation and policy setting. The main areas I was particularly involved in were achieving value from our levy and supporting the progression of the increased recycling policy.I sat on the Planning Committee thereby using my experience in the construction field. It was interesting to see the position from the other side. This has been particularly useful to me as I have insight into how to aid the smooth progression of Development Control submissions. In addition I took on case-work from my residents. The most memorable of which was when our area was being subjected to sustained antisocial behaviour. Due to concern regarding retaliation the majority of residents would not assist the Local Neighbourhood Team of the Police by agreeing to testify. As such I suggested that if residents were to write to me confirming their experiences I would then remove their details and present these documents to the court testifying to their legitimacy. I attended the court and an order was put in place which curtailed the problems my residents were being subjected to.
