My duties included supervision of the day to day operations of the road data collection activities including road surface profiling, falling weight deflectometer, road surface condition rating, and right of way video logging. I also reviewed new technologies to enhance the operations. For some larger projects, processed and analysed the data, including reports to clients.

Operations and research into the automated road image capture and crack processing system used by Fugro for pavement condition data collection. The data collection system was supplemented with a Dynatest 5 laser road surface profiler and rut depth measurement system. Data collected by the system was handed over to other Fugro personnel and modelled in various Pavement Management Systems for processing and recommendations. Fugro also collected data with the system for third party pavement management consultants.
