Managing Installation of Instrumentation Upgrades

Start up I&C manager for Watts Bar Unit 2 Nuclear Power Plant.

Responsible for System completions during construction and power escalation at Browns Ferry Unit 1 after the unit had been shut down for several years. Completions Manager at Watts Bar unit 2 during initial staging of the construction site. Responsible for temporary power and compressed air development and implementation to support the construction workforce in the plant and external to the plant in the temporary work facilities.Refurbishment Manager at Watts Bar Unit 2 construction completion project responsible for managing the overall refurbishment of approximately 80,000 plant components where a Nuclear unit had construction stopped for several years and then re-initiated to complete the construction of the unit. This included managing Engineering staff, Planners, craft and vendors responsible for completing the field work to determine the appropriate action to be taken on the plant component and process the appropriate documents or work orders for the work. It also included the rebuild of component if that was the appropriate determination and closure of the work orders.Project Management and oversight of the majority of Westinghouse installed Instrumentation systems. Responsibility includes coordination with design engineering, construction, plant startup and testing groups and vendors. It also includes leading troubleshooting teams which include various groups to resolve technical problems in the systems.In addition to Westinghouse instrumentation and controls systems, i am responsible for the Woodward controls and Terry Turbine.
