I am managing the delivery of projects for air quality, sustainable transport, zero emission freight, placemaking and wellbeing projects across London. I supported the Influencing and Evidencing Team through high quality research. My main project was the “State of Social Value 2019”, to explore and analyse the attitudes and approaches of the Public Services (Social Value) Act in local and central government procurement. This resulted in the policy publication Front and Centre in May 2019 by Social Enterprise UK and was vital in developing my ability to communicate complex findings to different audiences, core research skills and passion for policy research. I contributed through survey design, conducting research interviews (semi-structured and unstructured), recruiting research participants, facilitating focus groups at workshops and round-table events, event management and support, literature reviews, report writing and data analysis (both qualitative and quantitative), in addition to general administrative tasks to support the team and organisation.
