One day a week working in the sexual medicine service.

Senior Practitioner working with male victims of sexual trauma and their families. The role was based in the Manchester community but also involved a clinic with GMMH in the prison service. .

This role involved trauma focused CBT with male survivors of sexual assault and their familly.

This was my final placement on the doctorate and involved developing Trauma focused skills to work with male victims of sexual assault, child sexual abuse and exploitation. The role led to full time employment.

This placement was at The Christie Clinic, the private division of the Christie Hospital in Didsbury, Manchester. The role involved 1-2-1 therapy, group therapy, ward rounds, consultation, and weekly MDT meetings. While here i developed skills in CBT, CFT, ACT, Safeguarding, Crisis Management and Clinical Administration.

This was my first placement on the doctorate and involved working with children and young people around issues related to trauma, palliative diagnosis's, and bereavement. While here i developed skills related to play therapy and consultation, and knowledge related to social services and legislation. The role involved work in a GP surgery, various disciplines of supervision, and basic management.
