At YMCA Camp Cullen, our goal is to provide a summer camp experience rich in tradition centered on our core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith, while allowing campers to gain independence, higher self-worth, and lifelong, positive memories as they continue to grow as individuals and leaders. Starting and directing an after school program funded by the 21st Century Community Learning Grant and the School Age Child Care Grant, which aims to meet local and Indiana Department of Education CORE standards. I have planned all aspects of the program, family involvement, and parent education and community involvement. The program not only provides educational enrichment opportunities but also meals and snacks, reimbursed using the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).The program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.

1. Organization, scheduling, and staffing of group retreats for K-12 schools, churches, universities, fraternity/sororities, sports teams, and corporations. 2. Planning, staffing, and facilitating YMCA events such as Leaders Rally, Youth and Government, Wellness Weekends, and Family Camps. 3. Keeping proper contact with group leaders in order to create a custom schedule for each group’s trip. 4. Training staff in order to render great customer service and promote low staff turnover.5. Weekend Manager on Duty responsibilities, including staff supervision, group leader contact, and creating a payment voucher with the group leader.6. Cooperative planning, organizing and facilitation of Gymnastics, Volleyball, and Judo camps during the summer months. 7. Responsible for the positive educational experience of over 600 campers form Beijing and Hong Kong.

Responsible for program development and implementation of recreational and educational classes to students. Assistance with planning, development, and effectuation of weekend retreat programs. Topics include the design and instruction of classes in team building, high and low ropes elements, wildlife ecology, water ecology, forest ecology, environmental topics, orienteering, crafts, and survival, among others. Facilitating team building focused on communication, problem-solving, leadership, and self-esteem.

1. Supervision of around 15 day camp staff including scheduling, support, and discipline.2. Camper recruitment, retention, and summer camp promotion.3. Weekly newsletter creation and distribution.4. Daily attendance of camp site drop offs and bus site drop offs.5. Assisting with the interview process for day camp staff.

1. Responsible for the organization and preparedness of all summer camp activities. 2. Oversaw all staffing and instruction of camp activities and specialty camps, including horse camps, water-ski / wake-board camp, and mini dirt bike camp.3. Responsible for the accountability of all summer campers (up to 300) from around 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. 4. Responsible for the upkeep and, if necessary, replacement of program equipment ranging from sports balls to inflatable water toys and 3 Air Nautique Ski Boats.
