About Rich Taylor

I am a high-energy, creative, positive-thinking strategic communications executive with comprehensive experience spearheading all aspects of internal and external communications, including executive positioning, DE&I, media management, public relations, and community engagement. I also possess a proven track-record of success in forging robust relationships with journalists, key stakeholders, and policymakers. In my spare time, I am a screenwriter, stand-up comedian and a featured contributor whose work can be found across numerous humor platforms. With decades of PR/Communications experience, I bring a portfolio rich in demonstrated excellence. I have overseen strategic communications for both the U.S. motion picture and video game industries as well as one of the nation's largest wireless carriers. In those posts I designed and implemented strategy and tactics to enhance the public reputation of two of the largest and most-high profile industries in the world. Additionally, I guided two successful media campaigns in support of landmark U.S. Supreme Court cases, helped navigate periods of industry-threatening crisis, developed and executed numerous award-winning programs and public service campaigns and executed annually E3, the world’s premier trade show for computer and video games. Working with the wireless carrier, I served as Washington D.C. strategic communications lead on the successful T-Mobile/Sprint merger campaign. Now, through RT/DC Communications, I am able to deploy my experience and counsel on behalf of a wider-range of issues, interests and clients. I’d welcome a chance to partner with you to help solve problems, connect your interests with the right people, grow your business and build positive awareness. Seriously – let’s do this.
