Examples of analyses that I have helped perform include:Securities and Finance• Generated research memoranda on the market structure of interest rate swap-dealing and the impact of central clearing on interest rate swaps for legal counsel representing a group of large financial institutions who were charged with benchmark rate manipulation. • Created a measure of price impact for a high-frequency trading fund’s executions for a large high-frequency trader charged with market manipulation. • Assisted a hedge-fund client involved in a bankruptcy litigation through creating a counterfactual cost of debt for a bankrupt broker-dealer. • Helped with business-development efforts of NERA partners by drafting white papers on topics such as the history of excessive speculation and the history and regulation of energy markets. Energy & Environment•Evaluated the US market for mid-sized natural gas local distribution companies (LDCs) for a large foreign conglomerate looking to acquire an LDC.•Performed an econometric analysis of the impact of oil imports on the price of electricity in the Scandinavian power grid for a large power-production company involved in a litigation dispute. •Evaluated a model used by the US government that forecasts future cash-flows for a manufacturing client accused of failing to comply with EPA regulations.Telecommunications•Helped create a valuation for a specific spectrum frequency license for a large telecommunications provider.•Assisted a large South American telecommunications provider in analyzing the regulatory environment for the leasing and operating of various telecomms infrastructure. Anti-Trust•Measured price-differences by state and region for various stone products in a merger involving two large stone distributors.•Created a damages model in a case involving collusion among power-tool manufacturers.

Worked with DePaul Economics Professor Laura Owen on a paper regarding Labor Market Efficiency under the Massachusetts health care law (RomneyCare). The work consisted of searching through previous economic literature to find relevant papers of similar nature as well econometric analysis applied over cross-sectional and longitudinal state-level data.

Organizing and developing a community of 96 residents in an upper-classmen residence hall. Ensuring University policies are followed while maintaining a friendly relationship with residents. Plan and implement programs, events, and learning initiatives for residents.

Assisted DePaul Economics Professors John Berdell and Jin Choi on a paper regarding options trading on the Chicago Board of Trade during the 1920's. Work consisted of utilizing the CBOT archives at the UIC Richard Daley library and searching for meaningful data/information.

Assisted DePaul Economics Professor Burhan Biner to demonstrate the impact of states divorce laws on the likelihood of an individual opening a small business. Work involved the use of Stata and data collection from the PSID and SIPP data sets..

Directed a $45,000 annual budget to be used for talent, venue space, and marketing/advertising. Contracted comedic talent to perform at DePaul University while negotiating with talent agents about contractual terms such as pricing, venue location, duration of performance, date, and hospitality needs. Additionally, I managed a committee of 10-12 people to logistically coordinate successful events.

During my time at UBS, I worked in the Corporate Cash Management Group to prepare the Managing Director for client proposals and reviews. This included obtaining key company information and metrics from financial statements, websites, and SEC Filings and presenting it in a clear, concise way. Additionally, I helped manage essential office functions and daily tasks.
