I am from suburban Minnesota, but I attended school in Houston, TX (Rice University) and Madison, WI (UW–Madison), where I developed a love for global art, culture, and storytelling, especially the diverse traditions of Asia and the Middle East.Graduating into the COVID-19 Pandemic, the past years have been tumultuous, with health struggles and unstable employment, but now I am determined to begin my career in earnest. This determination recently brought me to the Architect of the Capitol, where I have begun work as a visitor assistant. While I’m thankful for their confidence, the position is temporary, so I am constantly on the hunt for new, challenging openings.Having worked in a variety of public-facing positions, customer service and interpersonal communication come naturally to me. I love moderating in-person and virtual events and enjoy sitting down and getting to know someone. My nerdy self also adores research and is just as happy to be locked up in an archive somewhere to pour over books, manuscripts, and maps.Although my primary passions are art history, cultural heritage conservation, and international affairs, it is easy to get me invested in nearly anything. I am eager to learn new skills and expand my awareness of any and everything. I love nothing more than when people share their interests with me, so I look forward to hearing about yours.
