I am responsible for conducting annual strategic technology planning presentations to identify ways to increase security and recommend infrastructure changes to line the company up with IT best practices. Provide technical goodness with identifying and evaluating new technical solutions, lead client presentations to demonstrate how we can leverage new solutions to increase productivity and achieve long-term company goals. Upon gaining approval, I provide technical assistance throughout the implementation, working closely with the project managers and working with engineers to ensure the solution lines up with client expectation. I am also contracted out to select clients as an hourly Virtual CIO. In this role, I am charged with evaluating the current infrastructure, designing and implementing secure technical solutions that assist the company in reaching current and future goals, develop IT governance policies, implement a Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plan, ensure the company meets regulatory requirements, developing IT budgets, and implementing and evaluating vulnerability scans and mitigating the threats.
