I have been working at Vista Broadband Networks for the past 13 years growing from a Field Technician to Wireless Network Engineer and Senior Network Engineer. I have personally and physically been involved with growing Vista from a small wireless ISP to what it is today. When I started Vista had one uplink provider and a handful of FCC licensed microwave links and unlicensed 5Ghz microwave infrastructure physically limited to a 10Mbps ethernet connection. We are now a multihomed 10Gbps network with multiple redundant paths between fiber nodes and tower sites. We upgraded all the 5Ghz technology to newer and faster models and created many more infrastructure points to increase coverage. With all the recent fires in the area and long PSPS power outages, I developed a way for all our remote tower sites to run on battery between 3-5 days before having to roll a generator to cut down on tech time and outages. Recently Vista has participated in the new CBRS frequency allocation setup by the FCC and I am now a certified CBRS professional installer by Google.I have always had a passion for technology and anything new and different.
