Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute marketing/communications plans that support the sale of high-end medical technology and service/consulting contracts.Provide strategic communications counsel and tactical communications support to ensure effective, high-quality, on-brand deliverables.Ensure alignment of North American marcom programs with global and other geographies. Developed, staffed and continuously evolved a high-performing integrated marketing communications function for the region's largest nonprofit health-care provider during a period of significant growth and change. Responsible for internal and executive communications, media relations and crisis communications, consumer advertising, brand management and research, interactive marketing, publications, and events and sponsorships. During my tenure, Swedish grew to a $1 billion-plus multi-hospital system, added a network of clinics, undertook major building and expansion projects, explored numerous mergers, acquisitions and affiliations, launched new clinical programs and implemented an online medical-records system.

A nonprofit membership organization of nearly 2,400 small and large businesses from all industries throughout Greater Seattle, the Chamber works to ensure economic vitality and improve overall community livability. To that end, I worked with Chamber executives and business and civic leaders on communication activities to advance the Chamber's mission and build and sustain its membership base. Key issues during my tenure included the efforts to keep major-league baseball in Seattle, allow Alaska cruise ships to port in Seattle and site a third runway at Sea-Tac airport. I produced membership newsletters, managed media relations and executed large-scale membership events. I authored articles and Op-Eds for Chamber executives and business leaders on Chamber positions, working closely with the Chamber public-affairs staff and in-house lobbyist. Here, I hired and managed a small but efficient team of three and was promoted twice in six years.
