Director, Advancement Services And Individual Giving
Current
Lead Consultant & Philanthropy Advisor
George Philanthropy Group is a philanthropy advising firm consulting with nonprofit organizations of all sizes and across different sectors to bring meaningful, relationship-centered work to the forefront of development efforts. At GPG, I served in a leadership role with one higher education client, offering both team and advancement direction regularly. In addition to this role, I offered advising to a host of other community-based, cultural and education nonprofit clients to efficiently and effectively raise more funds and strategically build out philanthropy programs through operations assessments, campaign planning and execution.
Associate Director, Leadership Annual Giving
Assistant Director, Leadership Annual Giving
Fundraising Coordinator
Instructor Of Studio Art Courses For Non-Majors
As a graduate student, I taught both Introduction to Sculpture for Non-Majors and Introduction to Video Art for Non-majors. Both courses introduced students to the conceptual and physical creation of artwork in the given medium. Students gained not only technical proficiency, but acquired a vocabulary for creating and interpreting work. We studied a basic medium-specific history and examined contemporary examples of sculpture/video.
Imagining America Engagement Fellow - 601 Tully Project Coordinator
I worked directly with the Executive Director on the physical and programmatic development of 601 Tully, an art space in a once-abandoned house. I provided administrative support as the building was re-zoned, re-designed, and renovated, contributing physical labor to the renovation process, acting as a liaison between community members and 601 Tully, developing, advertising, and running art workshops for the public, supervising high school student employees and volunteers. After the conclusion of my employment with the project, I served on the Board of Directors.
Imagining America Engagement Fellow - Teaching Artist
Collaboratively developed and co-taught visual arts curriculum to K-4 and 10-12 grade students in the Syracuse City School District. Through digital photography, collage, drawing, and creative writing, students explored formal and conceptual themes in tandem. Classes were held aboard the M-LAB (the Mobile Literacy Arts Bus) and culminated in a public exhibition and printed books that showcased the students' incredible work.
