Every job I've had so far has strengthened my ability to communicate and think critically, and my personal hobbies and interests have and continue to push my technical skills every day. Here's a few examples of the skills that my job and life experiences have helped me learn and improve:My summer job in 2018 as a food and beverage warehouse associate for Cedar Fair Entertainment Company at Carowinds Amusement Park in Charlotte, North Carolina honed my organizational and communication skills. Every day I had to communicate with the dozens of restaurants throughout the park to determine what food items they needed from the warehouse, write out order forms, pull the orders from our inventory, and deliver them expeditiously.As as technically-minded youth I've always been comfortable behind a computer and learned the basics very early on. Throughout middle and high school I continued my learning through my interest and experimentation with media creation/voiceover work. I used this experimentation to set up and run a Fiverr account, where I recorded and edited voiceovers for customers. I am now proficient with Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition, as well as having the capacity to use most major editing software.My personal experience with media creation was then very easily supplemented by my education in the Mass Communications program at Stephen F. Austin State University, where I graduated with a bachelor's degree. Here, I achieved a proficiency in critical thinking, organization, and teamwork. And on the technical side, I gained much more experience with audio and video recording equipment, audio performances (primarily in the context of radio), scriptwriting, directing, and editing.Throughout college I worked at Walmart, and was there for four years as a sales floor associate. On top of maintaining and improving my organizational and critical thinking skills, I have gained plenty of customer service experience. I often go above and beyond for customers, ensuring they find what they need, or helping them find better alternatives to help give them a great experience.
