Content Planning & Scheduling:- Add games and events to the 228 Sports assignment sheet.- Assign writers, photographers, and student reporters to cover games and events based on location, availability, and need.- Work closely with the Lead Photographer and Student Program Director to assist in department-specific scheduling as needed.- Ensure all assignments are completed on time and in line with the editorial calendar.Team Management:- Oversee the editorial and content production process.- Coordinate and manage a team of writers, photographers, and student reporters.- Ensure all team members are informed of assignments and deadlines.Content Review & Editing:- Review content submissions for accuracy, quality, and relevance before passing to the Editor.- Collaborate with the Editor to ensure timely publication of articles, photos, and other content.Social Media & Engagement:- Share published content across social media platforms to drive engagement and increase visibility.- Work with the Social Media Specialist to create a cohesive content strategy and ensure timely posting of branded content.Collaboration:- Communicate regularly with the Owner/CEO to align content strategy with company goals.- Ensure team members are aware of any updates, changes, or opportunities to cover additional events not on the schedule.

Marketing and brand development, content creation, photo and video, website and app management, community advocacy, sales and promotion, press releases and articles

-Planning, writing/creating, and implementing high-quality communication plans, messaging, copy, and story development for various mediums.-Manage the day-to-day content across various platforms, including the City website, social media accounts, etc to inform and engage the public.-Coordinate activities and serve as liaison between the city and members of the press, including writing media talking points and press releases.-Field all media requests, prepare responses to questions, and serve as central point of contact for media.-Research, write, compile data, and design layouts for print publications, newsletters, flyers, social mediachannels, website, etc.-Develop multimedia content including video, still images, digital graphics and web products.-Update and maintain photography and video equipment.-Assist in crisis communications and crisis response recovery.-Provide ongoing strategic communication counsel and support.-Gather user data from technology platforms, prepares reports, and share trends and insights with team.-Attend City project meetings to gather pertinent information to disseminate to the public.-Support community relations efforts, including coordinating and staffing events.-Prepare letters, memoranda, documents, or reports.-Identify communication issues and offer solutions based on research.-Perform other duties as assigned by the Grants and Projects Director or the City Manager.
