The NDIA is undertaking a major transformational program to deliver a better NDIS. I joined the NDIA in late 2019 working closely with the CIO and deputy CIO to help define the technology strategy and deliver some quick-wins to the agency. Key achievements include:-Led technology delivery of new Digital Channels for the NDIS, as part of the NDIS Transformation Program, with adapted delivery models to incorporate: -----> embedding Human-Centred design into thew way of working-----> "baking in" an atypically deep focus on the delivery of high quality Accessible solutions -----> security risk management (including cyber and fraud prevention)- Concept through to delivery of the My NDIS App (rated 4.8 stars) with very high Accessibility-Injected large-scale delivery expertise and rigour across teams to enable effective and optimised delivery of the Salesforce-based 'PACE' solution, including oversight of delivery management processes.-Integral to capability development journey of the in-house Office of the CIO, executed through various leadership initiatives.

In 2018, my employer at the time - DWS - went into a joint venture with another entity to develop a new SAS offering for the market. I was given the privilege of taking the lead on the new venture. Key milestones included:- Research & Development of SaaS Product Offering- Compiled and oversaw delivery team to harden the technical product to reach an agreed stage-gate - Drove the program of work to form a new group of companies, set-up a new dedicated facility for the business, developed business operations, marketing functions, operational processes, legal compliance, budgets, finance functions etc- Saw business through to mobilisation.

I led the IT delivery function for the company, with a particular focus on setting outcome-based projects for success. This entailed working closely with sales teams to ensure that their proposals were "deliverable" and "whole" from a commercial standpoint. And then in delivery, I oversaw the project managers to meet the commitments made to both the client and to DWS. This role also involved injecting new levels of rigour into the operational processes of the organisation to support proper qualification of opportunities, proper solution planning and industrialised delivery management standards.

As a senior executive with Accenture, I had many and varied roles, with common themes being IT Delivery on "big jobs" and development of Solution Architecture and Delivery Capability across the firm, at local, Asia Pacific and Global levels. Some of the more notable roles including leadership of Accenture's SI Solution Architecture and Delivery Lead capability programs, and righting a "Problem Job".

I joined Accenture (at the time called Andersen Consulting) straight out of uni as Graduate of Computer Science. Although technically based in Melbourne, on my first day on the job I was sent to New Zealand to be a programmer on a major program for the New Zealand Government. I spent much of the next dozen years working across many countries mostly on very large Telecommunications Billing projects, including in the US, Argentina, Japan and other parts of Asia. Through these projects I progressed through the ranks up to be managing large scale projects for Accenture within 10 years. I then took on leadership of a Telco focused IT Project Delivery Centre based in Melbourne which under my operational management delivered around 30 Telco projects for clients in Australia and other Countries.
