About Scott Werner

With over two decades of experience in the financial services industry, I am a seasoned compliance and risk professional, most recently at McKinsey where I helped clients navigate complex regulatory and operational challenges. Prior to joining McKinsey I was the US Head of Financial Crimes Compliance Operations and the Deputy Director of AML Monitoring, where I oversaw the execution and enhancement of key processes and controls, helping HSBC to relieve itself from the landmark 2012 Deferred Prosecution Agreement for AML lapses. I am passionate about advancing the field of risk management, making it "second nature" to the business as I believe compliance and risk functions can collaborate to create business opportunity. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the table, having worked across multiple regions, sectors, and functions. I am always eager to learn, collaborate, and grow as a risk professional and a leader.
