As ProVerde Laboratories Portland, ME branch manager, oversaw the laboratory expansion to the Maine market, leading the ISO accreditation process, branch operations, and data quality. Worked with vendors, clients, and staff to develop and validate new testing methodologies to meet industry needs.

Scott specializes in alternative fuels and combustion science. He was associated faculty at the Marine Engine Testing and Emissions Laboratory (METEL) and conducted original research and industrial projects aimed at identifying and reducing risks associated with clean technology adoption within the power and transportation industries.

As Co-Founder and CTO, Scott leads the Company's technology development efforts leading towards commercialization of its patented EHF low emissions fuel emulsion products. He oversees a small, but growing, team of dedicated professionals working to deploy these fuels in the maritime and rail industries.

SeaChange Group is a Maine-based, technology start-up company that develops alternative fuels for the maritime and power generation sectors. Our emphasis is on clean burning, low-emission formulations that reduce the environmental impact of existing industrial operations.

Scott's Ph.D. research in Chemical Engineering was in thermal chemical conversion pathways of biomass to biofuels. His research focused on a novel reaction called thermal deoxygenation (TDO) which has proven to be a robust conversion technology converting cellulosic materials to high quality crude oils. His research explored the fundamental processes which make the process effective.
