Kochava's systems capture mobile advertising traffic (impressions, clicks, installs, upgrades, and post events) world wide to assist advertisers in proper attribution of ad spend. Responsible for DEVOPS DATABASE on metal performance, provisioning, configuration, implementation and administration of the company's core revenue databases encompassing 39 extreme high volume master/slave pairs, using Maria DB MySQL 10.2.14 and Percona MySQL 5.6.x databases.* The multi-tenant 1/3 petabyte database architecture handles loads upwards of 600K QPS.* Alterations are rolled out across twenty thousand plus application schemas while live.* Wrote BASH scripts to alter tables directly, with or without copying data, or indirectly using pt-online-schema-change.* Responsible for DB performance / locking issues. * Responsible for live backups, delayed backups, and restorations.* Designed, implemented schemas, indexes, and performance queries. * Designed and coded PHP user interface and batch routines to scan all systems and ensure a customers application is no longer active prior to the drop,* Designed and coded PHP User Interface / Python parallel batch routines to migrate a specific customer application databases to other existing clusters. * Manage and maintain a custom written DB monitor that reflects the company's manner of doing business, in addition to Data Dog and Pager Duty.Responsible for provisioning and maintaining the same db architecture as 37 disaster recovery VM based cent-OS nodes in Google Cloud. Assisted in a Google Spanner PoC.Currently designing the core revenue databases to better horizontally scale in a Sharded Architecture POC. Technologies used: Ansible, Go, Python, PHP, BASH, Maria DB, & Percona MySQL, Ubuntu and CentOS in-house metal and GCLOUD VM based systems. Data Dog, Pager Duty, and custom PHP/Python monitoring. Signal 18 Relication Manager and MaxScale for HA, Proxy purpose. Spider/Vitess sharding under evaluation.
