I am a User Interface Designer and Developer.I've worked in User Experience for over 18 years, and for the last ten years I've worked with front-end development, content management systems, and web application management. I love structuring information, whether it's matching content to audience or markup to its semantics.In Interaction Design I specialize in designing complex search systems - areas have included medical literature searching, microbiology systems, patent and trademark, and legislative systems. I think in terms of User Centered Design: conceptual designs, design pattens, specifications, and traceability from each feature back to user research.In Web Development I have introduced semantic markup, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals to a health nonprofit, directing its approach to web technology. I've queries back-end databases and used XSLT to convert the results into finished web pages. I have also implemented developed Drupal-based sites using its built-in admin interface and basic PHP theming.In addition to the above, I also have expertise in graphic design, illustration, usability testing, project management, and technical writing.
