I’m the cofounder and president of Moonsail North, a storytelling and strategy firm based in Lansing, Mich., with clients across the country. We help innovators communicate and grow through a full spectrum of marketing and communications services. Our clients have included the U.S. Green Building Council, the organization behind the world’s most widely used green building rating system; Sparrow, mid-Michigan’s largest health system; the National Partnership for Dental Therapy, which works to improve access to dental care in high-need communities; the Michigan Brain Injury Provider Council and CPAN, two organizations working to ensure catastrophically injured car crash survivors receive the care they need; and dozens more. I’m particularly passionate about helping clients working in the environmental and climate change spheres, whether they are nonprofits seeking to affect public policy or businesses working in clean energy, energy efficiency, and other green industries. My skills and specialties include strategic communications, advocacy communications, message development, media relations, and content creation for a wide array of mediums. Prior to founding Moonsail North, I worked as a journalist in the Upper Peninsula, as a communications analyst in the Michigan Legislature, and as a marketing specialist at a large health system. My hobbies include reading and writing, playing guitar, hiking and biking, martial arts, meditation, and soccer fandom (come on you Gunners!)
