After a year learning aspects of micrometeorology, I am now studying the thermodynamic, atmospheric, and land/ocean surface drivers of heat waves and changing seasonal heating patterns, using reanalysis data, plus climate and weather models. I'm applying my data science skills to address climate change adaptation, environmental justice, and mitigation, focusing on coastal urban areas.In the past, I have taught Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Physics, Geoscience, Data Science, Astronomy, coach cross-country running, Track & Field (distance), and Math team. I'm a scientist, a thinker, a musician, a learner, an artist, and an athlete.
