I approach it with a perspective of "How..." And I've applied this to both my personal life and professional career. I can recall twenty years ago, while working on software solutions for movie theaters, having to find solutions for early web technology to talk to a DOS based point-of-sale and event management system all while using a credit card system that was based on WindowsNT. The question wasn't if it was possible. The question was how can we do this. I love challenges like those above, whether they involve technology or not. I love asking questions like, "What makes an organization successful?" or "What actions are needed for success?"I thrive on balancing a modern data driven world with a human touch and not losing sight of the people needed to make an organization work.I'm a firm believer in innovation and bringing new ideas to every situation. I'm a firm believer that by anticipating tomorrow, we are better prepared today. And new ideas aren't limited to technology. New ideas are about how we interact with each other. How we lead. How we collaborate. How we follow. This not only applies to my professional experiences but my volunteer experience as well. As a volunteer, I've been able to find unique ways to contribute to organizations. In some cases, it might be bringing cutting edge video projection and audio production tools to a nearly 150 year old stone building to improve the live theater experience. It might also be finding ways to provide thousands of dollars in grant funding to the local arts scene. It's not about if something is possible. It's about how to make it possible.
