I am currently a student worker at Grand Canyon Education working for their marketing department as Discover Host. My job requires me to be proficient at a number of tasks all centered around being student engagement. It is my job to talk to prospective students who are considering Grand Canyon University as their school. Being employed by Discover has helped develop my public speaking and interpersonal communication skills. Now, I’m more than capable of talking in front of large groups and I also excel at making connections with new people. I have grown to love working in the marketing industry, and I’m excited to further my marketing experience anyway I can.My skills aren’t limited to only what I’ve learned from working at Discover. I have a passion for physical training and teaching others about living a healthy lifestyle. This passion for fitness has taught me how to be self-disciplined, and I believe that this is one of the most important things to be successful in business. I would love to have t the opportunity to work in this industry and turn my passion into a career. I have always been involved in volunteer work since I was young, whether it was through my church or through Young Life. Currently, I’m a Wildlife leader at Madison Meadows Middle School, right here in Phoenix. I believe that giving back to the community that your apart of is just as important as anything else that you can do.
