Significant advances have been made in recent years to build greater collaboration and interoperability across the Australian National Security and Cyber community and Telstra.However, the increasing complexity of National Security and Cyber threats requires an even more consistent and connected approach to data and analytics planning that complements existing individual agency arrangements.To that end, my role provides a single consolidated picture of Telstra’s Data and analytics capabilities to better enable National Security and Cyber outcomes.My role leverages Telstra’s big data and analytics capability to better support the Australian National Security and Law Enforcement functions. It ensures that data and analytics capability is focused, and that Telstra can give appropriate consideration to redirecting existing capabilities to meet new or emerging risks and opportunities. My role works closely with intelligence and law enforcement agencies in identifying focus areas for collaboration and interoperability across data and analytics.

This role allowed me to deliver higher value data architectural leadership, automate processes, save money and jump start Telstra's data and analytics transformation.In the capacity of CDA I was able to manage the Data Architecture practice end to end. This included Consumer Data Rights compliance, General Data Protection Regulation, Artificial Intelligence Ethics and representation at the Big Data Risk Council.My focus in the CDA role included the solution design of next generation technologies including real-time advanced and predictive analytics, the development of machine learning and cognitive models and workflow automation to enable a new way of working across our front of house and field teams.I was accountable for the delivery of the Data Architecture roadmap that provided both tactical and strategy direction and defines key enablers into the future. Technologies sets include service orchestration, robotic process automation, automation analytics, operational big data, self-healing, heuristics and workflow automation.
