Software Architect
CurrentAs architect and team lead for front end and back end developers I ensure the following is adhered to by ensuring and facilitating that teams are performing the following: - Software and systems design consultation and guidance- System design and code reviews- Software development standards- Software optimisation- Agreed processes, procedures and methodologies- Technology research and advice- Tools research, development and implementation- Collaboration with Devops QA, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Product Managers andother teams.Responsible for Quality- Enforcing the QA processes are being adhered to- Pull requests- Unit tests- Developer collaboration with QA- Being aware of test coverage- Driving to maximise test coverage- Awareness of the current state of productionAlignment with Business- Understanding of core business functions- Understand software functionality in terms of the business- Understand the impact of features and issues on the businessSupport - Ensuring support schedule is updated- Manage production support - Ensuring support responses are within SLAsTeam member management - Line management of team members - Performance management of team members (SMART / KPI’s)Team performance and delivery on projects- Work with PM on project schedules and planning- Feedback to PM on progress- Feedback to PM on risks and issues- Assisting PM with risks and issues- Motivating team to reach project goals on time- Liaise with 3rd Parties for integration purposes- Work with business analysts to ensure requirements are available and clear
