I am a highly experienced and expert brand and communications specialist, currently Senior Writer for global food awareness organisation ProVeg International.I am also a photographer, published author, branding adviser and creativity workshop adviser: I believe that creativity lies at the heart of all progress – personal, professional, and organisational.I previously headed up Communications and Business Development for a pioneering international humanitarian-tech charity called Talk To Loop.I have also recently worked in senior interim communications roles for NHS England, and for a consortium of Local Authorities in the East of England.My career has spanned being Creative Director of agencies, running my own successful independent consultancy, various in-house roles (commercial and charitable), as well as my earlier background in the NHS (both as a registered nurse and as a senior manager).I am also a successful entrepreneur in my own right, having founded and launched, and then sold, two made-in-Britain clothing businesses: Shackleton, and Blackshore. Before that, I was an independent consultant on brand and communications issues, advising brands including: Harris Tweed Authority, Aviva, Pret A Manger, Norfolk Broads National Park, World Vision, and many more.
