I currently work in a small in-house legal team and undertake general commercial, contract, dispute resolution, employment and compliance legal work. I work closely with sales, bids, financial services and risk, HR, company secretarial, and various other departments within the organisation. Main responsibilities include:- Assisting with the sale of the company, including investigating and providing guidance on due diligence questions, collating and generating information and reports for data site (including a detailed review of significant customer and supplier contracts), assisting with drafting of disclosure letter by warrantors, drafting directorship/company secretary resignation letters, drafting powers of attorney, and general assistance in managing various documentation throughout the process. - Drafting customer contracts and variation/addendum documentation following instruction from Director of Risk.- Reviewing and drafting NDAs.- Reviewing supplier contracts including IT contracts and IP licenses.- Reviewing terms and conditions during tender process, providing comments and advice to bids team and involvement in subsequent negotiations.- Managing novation requests and drafting necessary paperwork in line with due legal process.- Handling low value (less than £15,000) customer disputes including completing initial assessment of risk, advising business of strategy to recover debt and commencing legal proceedings if needed, with authority to agree settlements with customers up to £2,000.- Provide legal advice to HR, Bids, Credit Control, Customer Care and Facilities teams as well as various other areas of the business.- Supervising junior members of the legal team if necessary.- Provide legal support and assistance to Head of Legal and Group Company Secretary.

Liaising with Counsel and booking the most suitable. Being the point of contact for the National Employment team (including paralegals) for Sharepoint (intranet) queries and requests and selected to assist the Employment Pitch Committee to create their new pages and documents on the intranet.Responsible for creation of the Paralegal Handbook in order to support the national paralegal resource.Assist fee-earners on corporate matters including reviewing contracts and other employment-related documentation and preparing the Due Diligence Report generally required in short time frames.Preparation of monthly and annual financial reports and service reviews for key national clients.Originally recruited on a 1 year FTC, but have subsequently been offered a permanent contract.
