I'm Sourav, a Ph.D. Scholar and ACM Anveshan Setu Fellow in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kalyani — an Institute of National Importance under the Government of India. I also have professional experience of approximately 5 years in AI research and academia.Before my Ph.D., I worked as a researcher in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Jadavpur University in 2018-2019. I earned my M.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from RCCIIT Kolkata (an autonomous Society of Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal) in 2018, securing the first-class first position. My thesis focused on “A Deep Learning Approach for Sentiment & Trend Analysis of GST Tweets in India using Topic-Sentiment Modeling”. I successfully presented two parallel thesis topics in my final semester defense.My research interests lie in Natural Language Processing, Language Generation, Large Language Models, Information Retrieval, Large-Scale Event Analysis, and Machine Learning. I have a substantial publication record in international conference proceedings, journals, and book chapters. Additionally, I have actively contributed to the academic community as a Program Committee Member for several international conferences and as a reviewer for prestigious publications, including IEEE, Oxford University Press, Springer Nature, and Taylor & Francis journals.My achievements so far include recognition through honors such as the Best Doctoral Research Award Winner at PReMI 2023 by ISI Kolkata, ACL 2021 D&I Subsidy, CIIR-GIEA 2021 Research Excellence Award, Teaching Assistantship in M.Tech from TEQUIP Phase-II (a Government of India project supported by the World Bank), a first-class first rank in M.Tech, MHRD RUSA 2.0 fellowship, the best paper award in RAAI 2020, and ranking among the top 25% national candidates in NITAT 2013.
